As part of Jonathan Aston's 50th Anniversary celebrations, the renowned British textiles designer Celia Birtwell - along with Zandra Rhodes - has offered her creative insight in aid of developing a series of funky, feminine hosiery items, chief amongst which are the Jonathan Aston Tulip Tree Tights. Set against a sparkling electric blue colour, this product takes inspiration from the tulips of the Netherlands; one of many sources of Birtwell's artistic inspiration, especially in her Van Gogh-inspired pieces. Whilst bold or sheen-laden hosiery is most often suited to a nightlife scene, these are subtle and would certainly not be out of place in a professional setting.
