Fogal Velour may bear the name of the well known material, but it is not actually made of velour. Instead, these tights are made from the more conventional nylon and elastane blend that tights are traditionally made from. So why pick this name? Simply because these tights are some of the finest and softest Fogal have made, taking on the qualities of this velvety soft material. This is because Fogal uses the highest quality nylon in the world, making their leg wear more like silk or velvet than nylon, a material that can often be a little bit more hard wearing than luxurious.

These are firmly in the top price bracket for hold ups, so up against Wolford, Cervin, Falke etc. Put simply they have the nicest, most silky velvety feel of any hold ups I've ever worn. I'm prepared to spend more on opaque hosiery, despite it being inherently less glamorous, because they're less vulnerable to laddering. I hope these last, I love them and the simple flat band means they are nice and discrete under a skirt, I plan on wearing them until the summer comes.
