Alethea is the perfect example of what both contrast and a "less is more" approach to design can mean. The contrast comes from where the plain leg and the gorgeous bands across the thigh meet. It turns your gaze towards the upper area of the design, where the cut out steals the show. And then you have the more minimalist approach of the design, which gives it that approach we mentioned earlier, where the simplicity of the design makes each element stand out more and not less.
